vacation bible school | Sessions in the area

Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. What: “SonQuest Rainforest” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 25-29.

Where: Church, 3000 S. Raccoon Road, Youngstown.

Details: The activity is is for children from 4 years old through sixth grade. It is free and open to the public. There will be games, Bible stories, snacks, crafts and music. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. on the north side of the church. Call 330-792-3000.

Who: Girard United Methodist, First Christian, First Baptist, Trinity Lutheran and St. Rose churches.

What: “Sky High Adventure” is the theme.

When: 9 a.m. to noon June 25-29.

Where: Girard UMC, 22 N. Market St., Girard.

Details: The activity, for children from 4 years old through sixth grade, includes include crafts, games, Bible adventures and missions. Registration is $5; $10 per family. Each child will receive a music CD and T-shirt. To register, call Girard UMC office at 330-545-4361.
