Prophet George Perez and his wife, Yvette, will be guests when Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets Monday at Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park, 325 Boardman-Poland Road.

Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7.

Churches merging

The Diocese of Youngs-town Parish Reconfiguration Plan, which began in 2008 and was promulgated by Bishop George V. Murry in May, 2010, includes parishes which remain as single parishes, collaborative units and merged units.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and St. Anthony of Padua Church will merge with the new name, Our Lady of Mount Carmel-St. Anthony of Padua Parish. Both worship sites remain open.

The mailing address is 343 Via Mt. Carmel, Youngstown, Ohio 44505, the worship site for Mount Carmel. St. Anthony is at 1125 Turin Ave.

Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Ohio District will have its 24th biennial convention Friday to June 24 at the Sheraton Suites with more than 300 women from Ohio, eastern Kentucky and West Virginia attending.

Hosting are women from the Akron-Youngstown Zone of the Ohio Zone.

Susan Weiss is chairwoman and Karen Parks, vice chairwoman.

The Ohio Zone includes churches in Columbiana, Mahoning, Trumbull, Summit, Portage, Wayne and Jefferson counties.

Pastor named

Bishop George V. Murry has appointed the Rev. Matthew Albright as pastor of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Andover and St. Patrick Parish in Kinsman, effective July 1.

Father Albright completed seminary studies at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pa. After his ordination on June 2, 2007, he was appointed associate pastor at St. Michael Parish in Canton. In August 2010, Father Albright was appointed to John F. Kennedy High School in Warren as catechist. He has also served as a member of the Vocations Director Advisory Committee.

The parishes collaborate as part of the Diocesan Parish Reconfiguration Plan.
