Wife stabbed to death

A New Castle, Pa., man is charged with criminal homicide in the stabbing death of his wife.
Shawn Moore, 38, is charged in the death of Alisha Moore, 36.
Police said they were called around 9 p.m. Wednesday to a domestic disturbance at 613 E. Reynolds St. and found Shawn Moore sitting on his front porch step with a cut hand and blood on his clothes.
Police found Alisha Moore inside the residence with numerous stab wounds.
Moore told officers he killed his wife after she stabbed him first, police said.
New Castle Police Chief Robert Salem said that Moore was taken to Jameson Hospital, where he underwent surgery on his hand.
MCDD meeting

Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ annual planning meeting for parents, guardians, caregivers and staff will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the board’s offices, 4791 Woodridge Drive.

Scrap metal theft
NEW WILMINGTON, pa.
Two New Castle men have been charged with stealing scrap metal from the New Wilmington, Pa., borough maintenance garage.
Joseph Camden Sanchez, 18, of South First Street, and Ethan Robert Palmer, 21, of South Liberty Street, were charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after police found them driving a pickup truck without lights on near the garage May 25.
Police said they found the stolen scrap in the bed of the pickup.
They will be arraigned in Lawrence County Central Court on July 24.
