Elderly mom's decomposed body found in western Pa.

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. (AP) — Police say two adult women, one of whom is mentally disabled, have been found living with their mother’s badly decomposed body in a house near Pittsburgh.

The Allegheny County medical examiner has yet to release the dead woman’s identity.

Officials don’t believe foul play is involved.

Investigators say the found the woman’s body in an apartment Thursday afternoon, once neighbors called 911 to report a foul smell.

An autopsy was set for today. Investigators believe the woman had been dead for several weeks.

Investigators say they found other deplorable conditions in the home and are trying to determine why the women’s daughters didn’t report her death or otherwise call for help.
