Bristol Library plans summer reading event

BRISTOLVILLE

The Bristol Public Library will host the Birds in Flight Sanctuary as part of its summer reading program. This family fun night is set for 5 p.m. Monday at the Old Fire House Banquet Center across the street from the library.

All ages may attend, but children must be accompanied by an adult. Heather Merritt, a state and federal licensed rehabilitator, will be on hand with creatures of the night she has rescued. Merritt has operated the sanctuary, which is funded solely on donations, for 19 years.

The summer reading program continues through June 28. Children ages 3 to 12 may participate and earn prizes. Registration is required. For information call 330-889-3651.
