SCOPE schedules its honors program
WARREN
SCOPE Inc. of Trumbull County has planned its annual Society of Honors program for noon Sept. 11 at the Trumbull Country Club, 600 Golf Drive Northeast Warren.
For the past several years the luncheon and awards program has recognized individuals and groups who have provided outstanding services to the community or improved the lives of older adults in Trumbull County. Honorees will be named in the following categories and may be professionals or volunteers: community/good neighbor, social services, business, government, labor, education, military, safety services, church/religion, communications/media, sports, music and other.
The public may submit nominations. To obtain nomination forms call SCOPE at 330-399-8846 or pick up forms at the SCOPE centers in Warren, Howland, Niles, Cortland, Champion or Lordstown during normal hours. Nominees must be at least 55 years old. SCOPE employees are ineligible. Nominations must be postmarked or hand delivered by Aug. 8.
Genevieve N. Bauman, SCOPE board president, and Lille Johnson are co-chairs of the Society of Honors committee. Other committee members are Garland Bradshaw, Jeffrey Hovanic, James McFarland and Michael Psznick.
