Poland man critical after motorcycle crash

A 26-year-old Poland man was in critical condition today after the motorcycle he was driving was hit by a car.
O. Scott Anderson was northbound on Southern Boulevard when he was hit by a southbound car turning left onto Maple Avenue about 4 p.m. Wednesday, reports state.
Anderson, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from his motorcycle and is being treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center, the patrol said.
The driver of the car, Danis Mootz, 56, of Boardman, was not in injured, but a passenger of his was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center and was in stable condition Wednesday, troopers said.
The crash is still under investigation and charges are pending, the patrol said.
