There are numerous rules governing how the flag should be displayed and cared for. Below is a selection of these rules that will help you fly your flag the right way today.

The flag should be displayed only during sunrise and sunset, unless it is illuminated at night.

The flag should be raised briskly and lowered slowly and ceremoniously.

When lowered, the flag must be received by waiting hands and must not touch the ground.

Replace a severely worn flag, and dispose of it properly by burning it.
