Black bear seen in Canfield Township

CANFIELD

Mahoning County dispatchers say they received a couple of calls Thursday morning about a black bear being spotted in Canfield Township.

No injuries or problems with the bear were reported, just that it was observed by residents.

Canfield City dispatchers said as of 11:45 a.m. they had no received any calls relating to the bear sighting.

Residents are reminded not to approach a bear should they see one.
