2012 homicides in youngstown

There have been 15 homicides in Youngs-town so far this year, compared with five by the date in 2011.

Jan. 7: Tre-Von Kimbrough, 18, was shot multiple times and found dead at 10:45 a.m. behind a vacant business at 3707 Market St.

Jan. 14: William T. Patterson, 60, of 131 W. Evergreen Ave. had a gunshot wound to his head.

Jan. 28: Carlos Crues Jr., 17, was shot and killed leaving a party on Kendis Circle.

Feb. 15: Cedric Robinson, 19, West Lucius Avenue shooting after a fight.

Feb. 26: Erica Elford, 33, of Berlin Center, shot in the head on Bancroft Avenue by a man who police said was her boyfriend.

Mar. 1: Munir Blake, 31, was killed at 223 Lora Ave.

March 10: Damon Hodges, 31, found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in a house on North Lane Avenue.

March 14: Tito Haskins, 25, found dead on Boston Avenue.

April 25: Pierre McKinney, 21, shot dead on Saranac Avenue.

April 27: Michael Abighanem, 27, killed in a robbery gone bad on Silliman Avenue.

May 15: Pako Lacey, 20, and Juanetta Franklin, 17, found shot dead in an upstairs apartment on East Avondale Avenue.

June 1: Ibn Shakoor, 20, and Michael Johnson, 20, were found in a Chevrolet Tahoe dead of gunshot wounds on McBride Street on the East Side.

June 13: Dion Weatherspoon, 24, shot and killed at 246 Hilton Ave. on the South Side.
