WARREN

Omar R. White, 40, of Parkman Road Northwest, pleaded innocent to felonious assault and domestic violence Monday after police say he cut and beat a 27-year-old woman unconscious with a pair of hedge clippers.

The victim said White became angry when she brought a man to her home at 1187 Parkman Road NW at 9:30 p.m. Friday.

White began attacking the man but turned the attack on the woman when she tried to intervene, police said. White choked the woman and tossed her around, then struck her in the head with hedge clippers, causing facial lacerations, police said.

While the woman was on the ground, White choked her and struck her head on the ground, police said.

The victim’s 13-year-old daughter tried to pull White off of her mother, but White choked her and struck her on the shoulders and back, leaving marks, police said.

The 27-year-old woman was bleeding and unconscious when officers arrived. She was taken to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital, but the hospital had no listing for her Monday morning.

White appeared in Warren Municipal Court on Monday, and bond was set at $50,000. The felonious assault charge carries a possible penalty of eight years in prison if convicted.
