Youngstown Links conduct Installation

Six members of the Youngstown Chapter of The Links, Inc., were recently installed as officers for the 2012-2014 club year. LIBERTY

The Youngstown Chapter of The Links, Inc., recently installed officers for the 2012-2014 club year. Rotelli’s Italian Bar and Grille in Liberty was the setting for the event, and Anne R. Cobbin, immediate past president, conducted the installations.

Krishmu Shipmon, administrator for Mahoning County Jobs and Family Adult Protective Services, was installed as president for a second term. Installed with her as vice president was Janice L. Beachum, who is also serving a second term.

Installed as associate officers were Alnita Bryant-Russell, recording secretary; Wanda Smith, corresponding secretary; Margaret Staples, financial secretary and ways and means; and Virginia Banks-Bright, treasurer, budget and finance.

Performing the duties of committee and facet chairwomen will be Lenora Hill, the arts; Margaret Person, services to youth and scholarship; Joan Boyd, national trends and services, health and human services and archivist; Cobbin, international trends and services, ethics and ways and means; Juanita Davis, social and courtesy; Brenda Martin, nominating; Beachum, programs, membership and public relations; Sarah Brown-Clark, parliamentarian, constitution/bylaws, ways and means and protocol; and Ruth Quarles, chaplain.

Several of the officers and members of the group will attend the 38th National Assembly of The Links Inc. in Orlando, Fla.
