Trumbull MetroParks offers education programs for youths

The Trumbull County MetroParks Board will offer free education programs for youths age 5 through 15.

All sessions are one to two hours. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The programs are:

“Observing our Wild Ohio,” 9 to 11 a.m. June 30, Sunside Trailhead, 547 Center Street East, Champion.

“Fishing Fun,” 6 to 7 p.m. July 11 and 9 to 11 a.m. July 14, Canoe City, 74 North Leavitt Road, Leavittsburg.

“Tracks,” which focuses on observation of animal tracks, 6 to 7 p.m. July 24 and 1 to 3 p.m. July 28, Clarence Darrow MetroPark, 483 Educational Highway, Champion.

Basic forestry session titled “Who Lives in a Tree?” from 9 to 11 a.m., Aug. 4, Thomas A. Swift MetroPark, 870 Benedict Leavittsburg Road, Leavittsburg.
