Canfield author to sign copies of her book

KENT

Michele Gianetti of Canfield will sign copies of her book, “I Believe in You,” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Logo’s Bookstore, 976 W. Main St.

The book explores the journey she took into her daughter’s world of dyspraxia and sensory-processing disorder.

The book’s title repeats the words of encouragement that Michele would give Elizabeth to help get her through her ordeals.

‘Be a Better Dad’ free for military men

The Fellowship of Fathers Foundation offers active-duty military men copies of the book “Be a Better Dad Today,” by philanthropist, professor, diplomat and businessman Gregory W. Slayton.

The book is available through the Help Our Military — Every Dad (HOME) program to any military man who requests one from his chaplain.

The book also is available at stores and can be requested online by the chaplain for the entire unit, and the chaplain will receive up to 30 free copies.

Slayton gets personal in the book and shares things about his own family, speaking as a father to fathers about self-improvement and success.

Underscoring his commitment to strengthening fatherhood and families, Slayton will donate 100 percent of his book royalties to charity.

The author lives in New Hampshire with his wife and their four children.
