Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. Who: Abundant Life Fellowship and New Waterford United Methodist Church.

What: The theme is “Adventures on Promise Island.”

When: 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 25-29.

Where: Abundant Life, 46469 state Route 46, New Waterford.

Details: The program is for children from 4 to 12 years old and teens up to 18. Activities, coordinated by director Judy Daubenmire, will include Bible lessons, music, crafts, food and recreation. Registration will take place each night beginning at 5:30. For information, call the Abundant Life office at 330-457-7317 between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

Who: Christian Bible Baptist Church.

What: “Fishin’ on a Mission with Jesus” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8 p.m. June 18-29.

Where: Church, 2369 Oak St. Ext., Youngstown.

Details: Classes offered for preschool to adult with adult classes taught by the pastor. A light supper will be served each night and there will be crafts and music. For more information, call 330-747-0318.

Who: Church Hill United Methodist Church.

What: “Sky — Everything is Possible with God” is the theme.

When: 9 a.m. to noon June 25-29.

Where: Church, 189 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, Liberty.

Details: The free program is for children from preschool through sixth grade. Children can see, hear, touch and taste at Bible Adventures, Sky High Movie, Imagination Station, All-Star games and Skydive Diner. Register in advance by calling 330-759-0118 or the first day.

Who: First Presbyterian Church.

What: The theme is “Overboard — Dare to Go Deep with God!”

When: 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.

Where: Church, 3654 Main St., Mineral Ridge.

Details: The program is for those from 4 years old through fourth grade. Registration is the first day. An offering will be taken daily for school supplies.

Who: Central Christian Church and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

What: The theme is “Amazing Desert Journey Bible School.”

When: 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Where: Central Christian, 2051 E. Market St., Warren.

Details: The free program is open to children from 4 years old to those who have completed fifth grade. The program starts with a light supper and then classes, recreation and snacks. Call the church at 330-372-1676 to register.

Who: Evangel Baptist Church.

What: “IncrediWorld Amazement Park” is the theme.

When: 6 to 8:45 p.m. June 18-22.

Where: Church, 5248 South Boulevard, Boardman.

Who: Free Methodist Community Church.

What: The theme is “Jesus is My Safety Zone.”

When: 6 to 7:30 p.m. June 18-22.

Where: Church, 9900 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, New Middletown.

Details: The free program is for preschoolers through 10-year-olds.

Who: Greater Friendship Baptist Church.

What: The theme is “No Friend Like Jesus, Get Connected.”

When: 5:30 to 8 p.m. June 25th-29th

Where: Church, 646 Lakewood Ave, Youngstown.

Details: The free program is open to 3-year-olds to adults. A light meal will be served. There will be Bible study, crafts, music and a mini carnival on June 29 . For information, call 330-788-2864.

What: “Babylon: David’s Courage in Captivity” is the theme.

When: 9 a.m. to noon June 25-29.

Where: Church, 2729 Center Road, Poland.

Details: Program is for children entering kindergarten through fourth grades. Cost is $10 a child.

Who: Petersburg Presbyterian Church.

What: “SonRise National Parks” is the theme.

When: 9:30 a.m. to noon June 18-22.

Where: Church, 13996 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, (Route 170), Petersburg.

Details: The session is for children from 4 years old through fourth grade. There will be music, games, crafts, snacks and Bible stories. Call 330-892-0512 for registration and information.

Who: St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.

What: “Discovering the Awesome Power of the Son of God in this World” is the theme.

When: 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday.
