Who: Christ Episcopal Church.

When: Next Saturday with free picnic from 3 to 5 p.m. followed by praise and worship service from 5 to 6.

Where: Lawn area by the church Peace Garden, 2627 Atlantic St. NE, Warren.

Details: The service will feature music of The Beatles, The Byrds, Rolling Stones, Credence Clearwater Revival and ZZ Top. Live music will be performed by Doug Thomas and the Sonic Boomers. After the service, there will be a jam session. A free-will offering will benefit Warren Family Mission. The Rev. Jeff Baker, pastor, said the Mass in the Grass continues the idea of The Beatles music Mass held in February. “We do a lot of outdoor services, and this is part of it,” he said. The Mass in the Grass is a “way to reach out with fellowship and love to a wider audience,” Father Baker said. “We want the community to see what we’re about.”
