GIRARD
Danielle Maria DeChant of Girard and John Fredrick Sharlock of McDonald were united in marriage July 30, 2011, at St. Rose Church.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Bernard Schmalzried for the daughter of Cyril and Colleen DeChant of Girard, and the son of Pauline and Kevin Tominey and John Sharlock, all of McDonald. A reception took place at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre in Niles.
The bride wore a white strapless A-line silhouette gown featuring a fitted bodice, beaded lace, ruching detail and a chapel train.
Wearing watermelon-pink dresses were her honor attendants: Jacqueline DeChant, the bride’s sister; Justine Latiano; Becky Tominey, the groom’s sister; Rachel Parks, Laura DeChant and Natalie Parks, all cousins of the bride; junior bridesmaids Chelsea Langley and Sidney Parks, the bride’s cousins; and flower girl Monica Ward, also the bride’s cousin.
Sharing the duties of best man were Terry Pitts and Dominic Zinghini. Groomsmen were Shane Sharlock, the groom’s brother; Gregory Parks and Austin Ward, cousins of the bride; and Richie Stout. Terry Langley Jr. and Jordan Ward, the bride’s cousins, were ring bearers.
Mrs. DeChant-Sharlock graduated with bachelor’s degrees in biology and nursing from Youngstown State University. She is a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Mr. Sharlock earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from YSU. He is a pulpit operator at V&M Star in Youngstown.
The couple honeymooned in Key West, Fla., and are living in Girard.
