Amy Lewis and Michael Hiet Jr., both of Austintown, were married by the Rev. Michael Hargrave during a ceremony at 4 p.m. May 5 at Crystal Palms Beach Resort, Treasure Island, Fla.

The newlyweds were honored at a reception at Silas Steakhouse Banquet Hall in St. Pete Beach, Fla., then left for a honeymoon to Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. They are residing in Austintown.

The bride is a daughter of Jim Lewis and Ida Lewis- Swesey, both of New Springfield. The groom is a son of Michael Hiet of Canfield and Kathy Whalen of Enon Valley, Pa.

The bride wore an A-line princess chiffon beach wedding dress with a floral shoulder strap and corset closure.

Attending the bride was her mother, and attending the groom was his father.

Mrs. Hiet earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration-accounting from Youngstown State University. She is a general ledger accountant with D&L Energy Inc. in Youngstown.

The groom is lead programmer with Wallace & Pancher Inc., Hermitage, Pa. Also a YSU graduate, he has a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems.
