The Raymond John Wean Foundation has appointed two new members to its board of directors.
Paul Hagman of Youngstown and Janis Sanfrey of Warren have accepted their positions on the board and hope they can benefit the foundation and further its goals.
Both have served on the foundation’s Neighborhood SUCCESS committees, which award grants to community-development projects that improve the quality of life in Youngstown and Warren.
Hagman also serves on the board of directors of the Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens and the Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown. He volunteers with several other local clubs including the Mahoning Valley Young Professionals Club and the Mahoning Valley Historical Society.
Sanfrey has two master’s degrees from Youngstown State University. She has been a French teacher in the Warren City Schools for 11 years and also is involved in several organizations, including the Warren schools’ Key Club.
Jeff Glebocki, the foundation’s president, said the new board members have demonstrated substantial involvement in their communities.
The Wean foundation makes grants to a broad variety of nonprofit organizations.
