Ohio Glaciers 13U — won the Mid May Classic at Kent State. They went 4-0 and outscored opponents 44-3. Ohio Glaciers defeated Pittsburgh Diamond Dogs 11-2 in the championship game. Members of the team include Joe DeLucia (Canfield), Lucas Nasonti (Champion), Joey Machuga (Canfield), Michael McDonough (Columbiana), Zack Tinkey (Canfield), Michael Turner (Champion) and Anthony Vross (Canfield).

East Palestine Home Savings 9-14, Lowellville 4-2 — In the opener Jen Rhodes and Haley Huff had two hits each for East Palestine. Carson Rutledge, the winnng pitcher, struck out six. In the second game Sara Borelli had three hits and two RBIs, while Jessica Leake and Huff each had two hits an two RBIs. Sydney Telischak had seven strikeouts. Erin Pope and Belle Sotlar had two hits each for Lowellville.

Columbiana 10-22, Lowellville 3-0 — In the first game Crystal Stone had two hits and two RBIs for Columbiana. Halie Martin pitched a complete game. In the nightcap Holly Gotthardt pitched a complete game and had two hits and four RBIs. Hannah Hromiko added two hits and two RBIs.

WRESTLING

Vince Mancini, Nick Mancini and Joe Cordova represented Green Machine Wrestling Club at the FILA Cadet Nationals in Akron. Vince Mancini competed in 86-92.5 pounds; Nick Mancini in 127.75 pounds and Cordova in 187.25 pounds. Each boy was defeated in two matches.
