WARREN
St. Joseph Health Center’s seniors program is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the hospital classrooms on the second floor of the A building. The guest speaker is Sandy Mathews from Trumbull County Mobile Meals. The cost to attend is $4, which includes the program, lunch and prizes. The deadline to register is Friday. Call 330-841-4375.
Area swim lessons
The American Red Cross of the Mahoning Valley is offering swim lessons in Niles, Warren and Youngstown. In Trumbull County, the first three sessions will be at the Warren G. Harding High School pool in Warren, and the fourth session will be at the Niles Waddell Pool. In Youngstown, all sessions will be at the North Side Pool.

The lessons at North Side Pool are June 18 through Aug. 8 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Classes at Harding High School are June 18 through July 26 from 12:30 to 3 p.m., and at Niles Waddell Pool, July 30 through Aug. 9 from 9:30 to 11:55 a.m.
Dance for a Cure
YOUNGSTOWN
On Father’s Day, June 17, USA Dance Youngstown-Warren Chapter 2015 is having a “Dance for the Cure of Prostate Cancer,” featuring a raffle to raise money for research. The event is at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown.
A beginners lesson is at 5 p.m., and a Night Club Two-Step lesson at 5:30 p.m., followed by open ballroom dancing from 6:15 to 9 p.m. The cost is $5 for USA Dance members, $10 for nonmembers, and $2.50 for students.
The goal of Dance for the Cure of Prostate Cancer is to recognize prostate cancer as a national priority similar to breast cancer and to increase public and private research funding, said Susan Ryan, president of Chapter 2015.

Hospice volunteer- training classes
POLAND
Hospice of the Valley is offering a volunteer-training class beginning June 18 in the Hospice House conference room, 9803 Sharrott Road, at The Assumption Village. Classes are 5 to 8:30 p.m. every Monday for five weeks through July 16.
Hospice volunteers serve as companions for hospice patients at home or in nursing homes and help at the Hospice House inpatient facility. New volunteers are needed for all areas of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties in Ohio and in western Pennsylvania. Volunteers are assigned to patients close to their homes.
