Safety Day Saturday at Mosquito Lake State Park

BAZETTA

The Bazetta Township Police Department and Mosquito Lake Marina will have its 10th annual Safety Day 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Mosquito Lake State Park.

The event features activities for children and adults, such as a visit from “The Bear,” the tactical vehicle used by the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team; and the Howland Fire Department’s Safety Trailer.

Vehicles and personnel from police and fire departments, state and federal agencies and other organizations will be on hand. The Bazetta Police Department will fingerprint children. There will be a canine and Taser demonstration. A medical helicopter will land at noon.

There will be free tote bags for the kids, along with drawings for free bicycles, Cleveland Indians tickets, Mahoning Valley Scrappers tickets, Deer Park tickets and other prizes.
