Count on Romney to show class
Count on Romney to show class
If Mitt Romney becomes presi- dent of the nation in January, I can be positive of one thing. He will not blame any of the problems he will face on President Obama, certainly not 31/2 years after taking office.
He will do his best to implement his agenda and take responsibility for what doesn’t work out without pointing out to us, at every opportunity, of his greatness. That’s class. Class is shown in President Bush’s silence over the past years in not defending himself to weekly blame by this president for anything and everything he, himself, fails to deliver on.
Class is not allowing campaign movies to be made of the killing of Osama bin Laden in order to tout your only real foreign policy accomplishment and to help in your re-election. Class is not allowing 47 straight weeks of unemployment figures to be underestimated by one of your agencies without holding the head of Bureau of Labor Statistics to a higher standard. Class is not pitting the rich against the poor or golfing over 100 times in an economy when most can’t afford Putt-Putt.
Class is not attacking a man who has had real business experience by working many jobs in the private sector while never having had one private-sector job in your own life. Class is not considering it an accomplishment that more people in the country depend on government largesse than at any time in history. Class is not thinking that government policies are the solutions when history shows otherwise. Class is running on your record and being proud of it.
I think America could use a little class about now.
