Arraignment Tuesday for man who threatened to jump
BOARDMAN — The 37-year-old township man who held police at bay while threatening to jump from the Market Street Bridge Sunday will appear in Boardman area court Tuesday.
John Sylvester of Jaguar Drive has been charged with attempted murder and felonious assault. He is set to be arraigned at 9 a.m.
Sylvester allegedly stabbed his wife in their Boardman home then fled to Youngstown where he was engaged in a three-hour standoff with police on the bridge. He was eventually coaxed away from the bridge railing and taken into police custody.
