SENIOR CITIZENS

55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Host and hostess will be Bob and Willene Pickens. After the meeting and card games, members will dine out.

Ajax Magnethermic retirees will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square Ristorante, 4250 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. Guests are welcome.

Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screenings will be available from noon to 12:45. James Crawford, a national AARP representative, will speak on Social Security and Medicare changes. He will encourage public participation with constructive input and comments he can report to the Ohio and National AARP. Reservations are being taken for the July 17 bus trip to Put-in-Bay, and the Aug. 15 and Aug. 16 overnight trip to Dayton and Cincinnati that includes the US. Air Force Museum, Jungle Jim’s International Market and other venues. Details are being completed for a Mystery Trip in Sept. For trip information and reservations call 330-332-4791. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet June 13 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. The social period will begin at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at 11:45. Dave Gynn, president of ORTA, will be the guest speaker. Nonperishable goods, canned goods, paper products, current magazines, paperback books and children’s books will be collected. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Ruby Farkas will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. S.O.A.R. 27-2 and 27-6, Steelworkers Retirees of Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome.

Sts. Cyril & Methodius Seniors Club will meet at noon June 14. Father’s Day will be celebrated, bingo will be played and a raffle drawing will take place. Reservations are required and can be placed with Vern Gleydura at 330-534-5071 by June 11.
