Miss Sawyer, Mr. Campanale are engaged

The parents of Ishevetta Sawyer and Anthony T. Campanale III, both of Washington, D.C., are announcing the engagement and coming marriage of their children.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Victor Sawyer Sr. and Shirley Sawyer, both of Miami.

The future groom is the son of Agnes Campanale of Youngstown and Anthony T. Campanale Jr. of Lisbon.

The couple will be married in an afternoon ceremony Sept. 23 at Holy Rosary Church in Washington. Martin’s Camelot in Upper Marlboro, Md., will be the site of a reception in their honor. Invitations will be extended for both events.

Miss Sawyer graduated from Barry University with a bachelor’s degree, and she has a master’s degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Mr. Campanale attended Kent State University and the University of Akron.

The couple are employed as police officers in the vice unit of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington.
