Chicken dinner event coming to St. Ambrose

GARRETTSVILLE

The 53rd St. Ambrose Church Chicken Dinner Festival is set for June 23 and 24 at the church, 10692 Freedom St.

Dinners, which consist of half a chicken cooked over an open pit, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, rolls and butter, homemade desserts, coffee and cold beverages, cost $9 for adults or $6 for children 12 and under. They are served in the church’s air-conditioned hall. Takeout is available.

Dinners will be served from 2 to 8 p.m. June 23 and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 24.

The festival features basket auctions, bingo, beer and food concessions, casino games and live entertainment.
