Christina Bilyk and David M. Hughes II, both of Columbus, were united in marriage during an afternoon ceremony July 16, 2011, at St. Anthony of Padua Church with Monsignor Robert Siffrin officiating. A reception followed at Vernon’s Cafe in Niles.

The bride wore a silk gown with a french lace bodice. Attending her as maid of honor was her sister, Gina Bilyk. Serving as bridesmaids were Melissa Stenger and Julie Castellano, cousins of the bride; Erikka Gambill, sister of the groom; Lindsay Poland; Renee Merlo and Megan Gray. Attendants wore navy blue dresses.

Rusty Sidle performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Henry Ernst, Doug Ernst, Tom Poeppelman, Mike Nartker and Jim Dempski. Ushers were Joe Bilyk, brother of the bride; A.J. Haisley, brother-in-law of the groom; and Mitch Warmington.

The bride, daughter of Hank and Karen Bilyk of Niles, is a cum laude graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and received her master’s degree in criminal justice from Cincinnati University. She is employed as a pretrial probation officer with the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.

The groom is the son of Pam and Nick Gambill and David Hughes, all of Sidney, Ohio. He is a graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is employed as a logistics coordinator with Access America Transport in Columbus.

The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and live in Columbus.
