Strawberries are ripe at fruit farm

Because of this year’s unseasonably warm spring weather, White House Fruit Farm’s strawberry crop has ripened a week early.
“The time to pick is now,” said Debbie Pifer, White House owner. “Strawberry-lovers will not be able to wait until the middle to end of June this year to enjoy our fresh, homegrown berries.”
White House fields are open for picking from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Pre-picked berries also can be found in the market daily. For information and crop updates, call 330-533-4161.

Justin Bieber to star in network special

Justin Bieber’s new album comes out June 15, and one week later, he’ll star in his first prime-time network TV special: “Justin Bieber: All Around the World” on NBC.
The format of the special is a mix of behind-the-scenes documentary footage and live performances from Bieber’s seven-country tour for the new album titled “Believe.”
Underwood hosts special on PBS

Chuck Underwood, whose voice was piped into Northeast Ohio years ago on radio, is the host and co-producer of a new national television special that will air at noon Sunday on PBS channel WNEO. It is titled “America’s Generations with Chuck Underwood.”
Underwood, a business consultant, is a founding scholar of a generational study.
In his earlier career, Underwood was a sportscaster and served as the radio play-by-play “Voice Of The [Ohio State] Buckeyes” in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and later on television with the Big Ten Conference and ESPN.
