A group of Holy Family students known as ARK (Acts of Random Kindness) recently delivered paper and hygiene items that the entire school collected over a three-week period.

The items were brought to the Difference Makers Food Pantry in the Palermo Center (St. Lucy’s Parish Center) in Campbell. The school conducted the drive because the pantry needed these items because they are expensive to purchase for people who need them.

Each Holy Family homeroom was involved in a “friendly competition” to collect as many items as possible. The top three homerooms earned a pizza party for their class.

Mrs. Wargo’s seventh-grade homeroom came in first place, while Ms. Kelty and Mrs. Abbattista’s second-grade classrooms combined came in second. Mrs. Sinchak’s kindergarten homeroom and Miss Lidstone’s third-grade homeroom tied for third.

The entire school collected more than 900 items, including bathroom tissue, paper towels, soap, shampoo, deodorant and dental items.
