Golf benefit set for cancer patients

The seventh annual Sunshine Benefit Golf Outing to defray the medical costs of a Boardman couple suffering from cancer will be July 21 at Lakeside Golf Course. Proceeds will be donated to Carl and Lucy Seidita, the parents of Kimberly, 17, and Carl Jr., 15. Carl is fighting stage-three inoperative pancreatic cancer while Lucy has oral cancer and requires a feeding tube. The 9 a.m. shotgun start at Lakeside is a three-player scramble that costs $225 per team. Deadline to purchase tickets is June 16.
