Another view of being ‘stuck’
Another view of being ‘stuck’
The day is a scorcher. Sun- shine beats down from a blue, cloudless sky. The road is packed as people head home for the weekend and I am sitting at a red light surrounded by cars of every color. Suddenly a sticker on the back of the car across from me, makes me grin wider than the prospect of a holiday weekend. Everywhere I go, I see them. Canfield, Warren, Youngstown, Columbus, and sometimes even in Pennsylvania.
“Stuck In Ohio.”
I smile not because that’s a funny thing to put on a car, but because of the history behind such a simple phrase. It has been eight years since the Mizicko brothers founded Stuck In Ohio, a film production company based in Northeast Ohio. They have since made two extreme sports films, won various awards, and built friendships that will last a life time.
“We take pride in where we are from. Our name is meant to relate to everyone within this great state,” says Dan on the SIO Facebook page.
I can’t skateboard in an empty pool, ride BMX over massive dirt jumps, or wakeboard in an ice cold lake at 6 a.m., but I love watching what these boys can do and the community they have created around their talent.
So next time you see a “Stuck In Ohio” sticker, think of hard work, fearless ambition, and a passion for the things that matter most. Or join the club and spread the word. We love being “Stuck.”

Some things don’t change
President Obama can “evolve” all he wants. But God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. God has the first and last word on every subject. Once God calls an action sinful it’s impossible to call it good. So why try?
President Obama can evolve all he wants but it’s meaningless. God will never bless gay marriages.
