REUNIONS

All North High School Reunion, 1946 to 1980, will take place the weekend of Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at the Mahoning Country Club in Girard. On Aug. 31 a meet-and-greet will begin at 5 p.m. (dress from your era, if you like). There will be early registration, vendors, photographers, spades and bid whist, and a DJ playing the music you remember. On the morning of Sept. 1, a golf outing will take place at the country club. An evening dinner-dance will begin at 5 p.m. with happy hour, and dinner will be served at 7. There will be a memory board, recognition of classes, a basket auction, class pictures and more. Davey Family will celebrate its family reunion Saturday at Chestnut Ridge Park, 6486 Chestnut Ridge Road, Hubbard, from noon to sundown. Anyone attending is welcome to take their favorite dish. Niles McKinley High School Class of 1958 is planning a reunion for August 2013. The planning committee meets at 1 p.m. the last Wednesday of each month at Senna’s Restaurant, Route 422, Niles. All classmates are welcome to attend the meetings.

South High School Class of 1955 has planned a two-day reunion. A dinner Aug. 27 will be from 5 to 10 p.m. at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. Cost is $30 per person. On Aug. 28, a breakfast-brunch from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. will be at the Byzantine Center at the Grove, 3801 Shady Run Road, Youngstown. Cost is $15 per person. South High School Class of 1967 will have its 45th reunion the weekend of Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. From 7 to 11 p.m. Aug. 31, there will be a meet-and-greet with a cash bar, light snacks and hors d’oeuvres at the Holiday Inn, Boardman, 7401 South Ave. Special room rates are available at $109.99. From 7 to 11 p.m. Sept.1, the reunion will take place at Byzantine Center at the Grove, 3801 Shady Run Road. DJ Ronnie Rupert will provide music and photos will be taken by Garland Sims.
