LGBT students at religious schools invited to hear HeartStrong speaker

YOUNGSTOWN

Marc Adams, co-founder of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender advocacy group HeartStrong, will speak at a free event at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave.

Through HeartStrong, Adams has reached out to LGBT students attending religious educational institutions who are experiencing bullying and discrimination.

Adams’ most recent book, “It’s Not About You: Understanding Coming Out and Self-Acceptance” will be available at the event. Books will be autographed.
