Information day is Friday for Eastern Gateway Community College

YOUNGSTOWN — Fall semester classes begin Aug. 20 at Eastern Gateway Community College, and to help incoming students an Information Day will be at the college’s Valley Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

Admissions representatives will review the admissions process and the classes and programs at Eastern Gateway. Mahoning Valley students are qualifying for free tuition with the college’s new Gateway Grant and information about the grant and its requirements will be reviewed.

Participants will learn about the process to apply and enroll at the college, options for financial aid and other issues. Students transferring from another institution to Eastern Gateway should bring an official transcript so credits may be evaluated.

The Valley Center is located on the fourth floor of the Choffin Career and Technical Center, 200 E. Wood St. The center will move to downtown Youngstown in the Plaza Place for the start of fall classes.
