Warren man dies in one-car accident in Howland

HOWLAND — Raymond L. Gorby, 46, of Warren was pronounced dead at St. Joseph Health Center after he was involved in a one-vehicle car accident on state Route 82 west of state Route 46 at 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Gorby was driving a 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was westbound on state Route 82, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Southington Post.

He drove off the right side of the roadway striking a large drainage culvert. Gorby was trapped inside the vehicle and was extricated by Howland Fire Department. He was not wearing a seat belt.
