SENIOR CITIZENS

Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet for lunch and bingo at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Guests are invited; phone Linda Wiland at 330-318-8472 to reserve lunch at a cost of $10. Greeters are Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. The group of retirees, age 55 and older, from the Cornersburg, Austintown, Canfield, and Boardman areas meets monthly to enjoy lunch and a guest speaker or bingo. Guests are welcome. Yearly dues are $5.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet for a picnic at noon Friday in the Gianna’s Catering Building in Lowellville. A picnic lunch will be provided, and President Ernie Ciarniello will preside. For reservations call Janet Davanzo at 330-793-3176. Birthdays and anniversaries for July and August will be acknowledged, and bingo and a 50-50 raffle will follow the meeting. Members are asked to take a donation for a gift basket for a sick or homebound member. New members are welcome; membership is open to anyone 55 or over. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Bob Ferrara will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided.
