Jaime L. Filo of Hubbard and James M. Gillen of Warren were united in marriage by the Rev. Bernard R. Schmalzried during an afternoon ceremony Oct. 22, 2011, at St. Mary Church.

The newlyweds accepted congratulations at a reception at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre in Niles.

The bride is a daughter of Pamela Campbell Filo of Hubbard and George Filo of Campbell. Parents of the groom are John and Gloria Gillen of Warren.

The bride’s traditional A-line gown of taffeta was accented at the bodice and waist with metallic embroidery, rhinestones, crystal beading and sequins and extended to a cathedral train.

Matron of honor was Nicole Carfangia, and bridesmaids were Kelly Filo, sister of the bride; Erin Mshar, cousin of the bride; Maggie Needs, the groom’s niece; and Kristy DeVan, Dana Walters and Sheree Moore. They wore navy gowns with charcoal accents.

Performing the duties of best man was Brian Gillen, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Tom and John Gillen, the groom’s brothers, and Barry Burkey, Jarrod Perry, Dan Soletro and Tony Potts. Ushers were the groom’s nephews, Matthew Needs and Ian Needs.

Flower girl was Alexis Craft, the bride’s cousin, and ring bearer was Justin Bish Jr., the bride’s nephew.

The bride attended the University of Toledo. She is an account executive with Entertainment Publications.

The groom attended Youngstown State University. He is a firefighter in the city of Warren.

After a honeymoon to St. Thomas, the couple reside in Cornersburg.
