Suit claims Cardinals DE Talley beat bar patrons

PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) — A man says Arizona Cardinals defensive end Ronald Talley seriously injured him by smashing a champagne bottle over his head at a suburban Detroit bar.

A lawsuit filed Wednesday in Oakland County Circuit Court names Talley, five unknown bouncers and the now-closed South Bar. The lawsuit says Robert Ford was attacked for no reason at the Birmingham bar on March 26.

Attorney Jonathan Marko says bouncers dragged the 30-year-old Ford to an alley and left him there until he was rescued by authorities and taken to a hospital.

Marko says Ford needed 13 staples to close his head wound. He says a doctor had to “fish to get glass out of his head.”

Talley, a Detroit native, couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
