Fuel leak closes section of I-80

A semi-tractor’s trailer came undone and punctured a fuel tank Thursday night, forcing Interstate 80 eastbound down to one lane, city police said.

The accident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. at the eastbound entrance to I-80 along Hubbard-Masury Road. A Hubbard city police officer was driving by and spotted the truck leaking fuel.

The Hubbard Fire Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol were still on the scene at 11:30 p.m. The cause of the accident was unknown at that time.
