ASSOCIATIONS

Mill Creek Chapter of American Business Women’s Association will host scholarship recipients and their parents at a 6:30 p.m. meeting Aug. 14 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. In addition to presenting students with scholarship checks, the chapter will install new officers for the 2012-2013 year. They are: Shirley Pappagallo, president; Joan Lucansky, vice president; Marilyn Ambramski, secretary; and Joyce Billock, treasurer. Dinner will be $14.50 and will include croissant sandwiches of three varieties, pasta, fruit, tossed salads, strawberry shortcake and a beverage. Chaney High School January and June Classes of 1942 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Denny’s in Austintown. All classmates, spouses and friends are welcome. No reservations are necessary.

Round Table Woodcarvers will meet from 9 to 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Senior Center, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Wood and the use of tools will be provided, and carving lessons are free. SUPPORT GROUPS

Nar-Anon, a 12-step program for relatives and friends who have been adversely affected by a loved one’s addiction to drugs, meets at 7 p.m. Fridays at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 160 Clifton NE, Howland; newcomers are welcome at 6:45. For more information call 330-856-3822.

Nar-Anon, a worldwide fellowship for those affected by someone else’s addiction, meets at 7 p.m. every Wednesday at the Neil Kennedy Recovery Clinic, 5211 Mahoning Ave., Suite 3000, Austintown. The 12-step program offers help by sharing experience, strength and hope. Newcomers are welcome at 6:45.
