Who to tip?: The casino is a service industry and the workers depend on tips for wages. So tip the cocktail waitress, dealers, slot attendants for hand payouts, cab drivers, valet, bellhops, waiters, and if the front desk puts in a lot of work for you, tip them, too.

Pictures in the casino: Some casinos discourage pictures. But if you do, don’t take them anyplace people are gambling.

Saving seats: It’s okay, as long as it’s not busy. At the table, tell the dealer and they will save it if they can. At the slot machine, cash out, tilt the seat against the machine. Never leave personal belongings to reserve your place.

Getting drunk: Have a good time, but don’t get yourself kicked out because you can’t hold your liquor.

Advice: Most people are there to have fun. They don’t want to hear about the Rules of Blackjack book you just read.

Ask for help: If you don’t know the rules, just ask the dealer. Take their advice, they know what they’re doing.

Bad luck: Don’t take it out on a dealer. They want you to succeed because they need your tips.
