Canfield 12-year-olds one game from Little League Softball World Series

The Canfield 12-year-olds defeated Illinois 6-0 in Thursday's semifinal game of the Little League regional tournament in Indianapolis.

Maddy Johns, Bridget Durkin and Jenna Gibson combined on the shutout . Leading hitters were Johns, Mia Kindinis, McKenna Carey and Sidney Lambert.

The Championship game is at 5 p.m. Thursday versus Indiana. The winner will go on to the Little League World Series in Oregon in mid-August.
