Penn State's Stanko: "I'm staying"

Howland High graduate Anthony Stanko, an incoming offensive guard recruit at Penn State, will stay with the Nittany Lions' program despite heavy NCAA sanctions.

On Tuesday, he tweeted "I'm staying, there's way too much going for this university for me to leave over the loss of bowl games." He then followed it up with a Facebook post saying "Penn State is still the best place for me even if we don't get some bowl games."

Penn State was hit with a four-year bowl ban, meaning Stanko would not play in a bowl game during his career unless he redshirts this fall and the Nittany Lions make a bowl game in his senior season.
