Copeland Oaks awards 3 scholarships
SEBRING
Copeland Oaks, a retirement community, recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to three high school seniors.
Aaron Page of West Branch High School, Corey Baia of Alliance High School and Amber Rohrer of Sebring High School were the recipients.
The students received the awards at their senior awards ceremonies.
Copeland Oaks marketing and public relations department established the scholarships, and this is the second year they have been awarded.
Student evaluations were based on scholastic achievement, extracurricular and leadership involvement, an essay submission and personal and academic recommendations. Three students were interviewed from each high school.
To qualify, students needed to be graduating high school seniors this past June with at least a 3.0 grade point average and had to be enrolled, or planning to enroll, in a recognized institution, such as a college, university or technical or specialized training school.
