Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, open exercise at 9 a.m., painting class ($5) at 9:30, bingo at 10 and computer practice at noon; Tuesday, “Vets Helping Vets” and bingo at 10 a.m., bridge club and Zumba at 10:30, $3 tacos and trivia at 11:30, cards at noon and intermediate computer class at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, open exercise at 9 a.m., bingo at 10, seminar on foot care at 11:30 followed by lunch, and movie, “Money Ball,” at 1 p.m.; Thursday, yoga ($2) and open exercise at 9:30 a.m., bingo at 10, beginning crochet at 10:30, monthly birthday party, lottery raffle and 50-50 drawing at 11:30 a.m., and AARP driver safety course at 1 p.m.; and Friday, Wii practice at 9 a.m., bingo and discussion group at 10, intermediate yoga/tai chi at 10:30, Wii bowling tournament at 11:30, beginner computer at noon and trip to New Castle Balloon Festival ($5) at 4 p.m. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Champion S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 4451 Mahoning Ave., Cortland, invites all senior citizens to the weekly Monday morning breakfast at the center. Participants can enjoy food and fellowship. A membership is not required for the first visit. The breakfast, which costs $5, takes place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The menu comprises scrambled eggs, bacon, French toast, biscuits with sausage gravy, a fruit cup, fruit juice and a hot beverage. Judy Fabian, interim center manager, requests that all who plan to attend call the center at 330-847-8179 to make a reservation. The center’s hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, needlecraft at 8:30 a.m. and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting at 10 a.m., beginner computer class (advance registration required) at 10 and noon, exercise at noon, intermediate bridge at 12:30 p.m., digital class at 2 and honor veterans at 4 p.m.; Wednesday, watercolors and Austintown Fun Day at 10 a.m., tap dancing at noon, 500 card club at 1 p.m. and line dancing at 1:30 p.m.; Thursday, Watch Our Weight and wood carvers at 9 a.m., Boardman Fun Day at 10, exercise at noon and Texas Hold’em at 2 p.m.; Friday, board games at 9 a.m., Youngstown Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and cornhole at 2 p.m.

Warren S.C.O.P.E. Center, 220 W. Market St., is offering three upcoming programs. The first is a free grandparents’ support group, which will meet the last Wednesday of each month beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The group will allow grandparents to network with others having the same responsibilities. Led by a licensed social worker, the group also will have guest speakers who will provide resources and information for the grandparents. For information call 330-399-2966. The center also invites all Trumbull County seniors age 60-plus to join its new Wii Bowling League, which will begin in August. All levels of players are welcome. To register call 330-399-8846. Also offered a caregivers’ support group complete with on-site respite care. This will allow caregivers to attend while the loved one is being cared for.
