Katherine Lea Higham and John David Drayo, both of Fredonia, N.Y., were married Nov. 12, 2011, at St. Columba Cathedral.

The Rev. John Keehner officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Richard and Karen Higham of Poland and the son of Samuel Drayo Jr. of Fredonia and Susan and Leonard Star of Hudson, Ohio.

A reception took place at Stambaugh Auditorium. The couple honeymooned in Antigua and live in Fredonia.

Flower and lace embellishments highlighted the bride’s strapless gown of ivory silk organza with sculpted neckline and chapel train.

Jessica Schmitt was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristie Drayo, the bridegroom’s sister-in-law; Susan Cook, the bride’s aunt; Caitlin Leja, the bridegroom’s cousin; and Emily Smith and Kim Cannon. They wore charcoal gray dresses.

Serving as best man for his brother was Michael Drayo. Groomsmen were Benjamin, Craig, Matthew and Jack Higham, brothers of the bride; and Thomas Schmitt. Joshua Grant, the bridegroom’s nephew, was junior groomsman and Henry Drayo, also his nephew, was ring bearer.

The bride is a benefits manager with Cott Beverages in Dunkirk, N.Y. She earned a bachelor’s degree in integrated language arts at Ohio University.

The bridegroom is an attorney with Drayo Law Office in Fredonia. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree and received a juris doctorate from Dayton School of Law.
