Fundraiser will help sick church member

Friends of Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, are planning to help a member, Jan Bates, who has been battling cancer for quite some time.

A fundraising event will help defray the expense of her trips to Philadelphia for her many treatments. The event will take place from noon to 2 p.m. July 29 at the church. Cabbage rolls, haluski, roll and dessert cost $8 for one dinner for $15 for two. Eat in at the church or take out. For takeout orders call 330-758-6055.

A basket raffle and bake sale also will be featured.
