REST program

Alliance

Alliance Community Hospital (ACH) has introduced a new program designed to promote privacy and quiet at night for patients.

The Nursing Leadership Team at ACH, in a return to the basic fundamentals of nursing care, decided to reinvent HS care (evening care) and rename it “Remember, Everyone’s Sleeping Tonight,” or REST.

Under the REST program, every evening at 9 p.m., the song “Blessings” by Laura Story is played overhead in patient rooms signaling the beginning of the REST program and reminding staff and visitors to be mindful of sleeping patients.
