Scrappers pregame show to aid food bank

Arby’s Cruisin’ Crew of Salem and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers will host a pregame car show from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Eastwood Field to help feed the hungry in our community. Second Harvest Food Bank will receive $4 for each car entered.

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at Eastwood Field. No preregistration is required. The first 200 cars will receive dashboard plaques. Seventeen trophies will be awarded, and the top 10 cars will parade around the warm-up track before the game. Awards will be given at 3:30 p.m.

Cars will be in a secured area for those wishing to stay for the game. The Mahoning Valley Scrappers will go to bat with the Jamestown Jammers at 5:05 p.m.

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley distributes food to 153 hunger relief organizations in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties. These organizations include church pantries, homeless shelters and soup kitchens, shelters for battered women and after-school programs.
